The Heddon Game Fisher was a short lived lure, manufactured from early 1920’s to the mid 1930’s It was 4 3/4″ long. A VERY similar Model was made by DAM after Heddon stopped production. The Game Fisher was available in Green Scale (5509D), White Body Red Head (5502), Pike Scale(5509M), Shiner Scale (5509P), Orange / Black Spots, Blue Scale , Rainbow (5501), and Natural Scale Paints. Seen on ebay for up to $125.00. Catalog Series #5500.

A catalog describes the Game Fisher as “Coated with seven to twelve coats of the special “Dowagiac” porcelain enamel, the number of coats depending on the style of finish. Every metal fitting, including treble hooks, are nickel plated. Selected cedar, chemically treated to prevent the absorption of water, and are so also weighted to run true in water.
