Here are some fine examples of a Heddon Zaragossa Minnow. (6500 Series)  According to advertising “The extreme buoyancy of this lure made it perform like a distressed minnow , diving under when jerked and then coming to the surface leaping half out of the water”

The body length is 4  1/4″ and weighs between 1/2 and 3/4 ounce.

This lure originated in 1922 with manufacturing continuing into the the 1950s.  There was a centennial reproduction of this lure released, with the newer versions having glass eyes.  Zaragoissas can vary in value from $75 to $160 depending on condition.
