For twenty years the Callmac Bug was produced (1921-1941 or 42). Designed for flyrods they had a cork body and a single hook. A South Bend Catalog describes them as: “The famous Callmax Bass and Trout Bugs are exclusive South Bend Products. They are considered the most sensational of floating bugs or fly lures. Their design combines feathers and buck tail hair in gay colour contrasts, giving every appearance of a living fly or bug. A no-slip hook extends through the cork body, preventing turning or twisting. Callmac bugs have a No. 1/0 turn down eye forged hollow point, bronzed hook. They are also supplied in straight eye ringed, permitting the attachment of a spinner. Weight 1/2 pound per dozen, furnished in 12 different Bass Bug Patterns.

With box intact and everything in good condition these will fetch $25-50, although I have seen some go at live auction for $100.00
